After debuting with “ID: Peace B” in 2000, BoA is highly regarded as a top musician and an ‘icon for International Success’, for the K-pop genre, reaching audiences all over the world. She’s known as the No. 1 female solo artist, proven by her talented vocals and stand-out performance skills. BoA was the youngest female artist to be named ‘Best Artist’ at a major year-end music festival in Korea. From then on, she became the first Korean artist to reach No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Album Chart, and eventually, the first Korean artist to become a million-seller in Japan. She also set records at the MTV Asia Awards as an artist co-representing both Korea and Japan, and was the first Korean artist to enter the U.S. Billboard 200 in 2008 upon releasing her first full-length album “BoA”. She is recognized as an all-around artist with skills in songwriting and composing, as proven through her numerous self-composed songs. She has also expanded her scope as an entertainer, actively taking on acting roles in Korean drama series and movies, notably starring in the Hollywood film Make Your Move in 2013. Most recently, BoA celebrated 20th anniversary of debut and dropped her 10th studio album, “BETTER” which topped various music charts in Korea as well as China's QQ music charts. The album was named the Best K-pop Album of 2020 by Billboard, once again proving her status as Queen of K-pop.
